Statements that Sparkle

Evangelism Starts with Mystery, Not Monologue
In a culture full of talking heads and noise, sometimes the best way to be heard is to spark curiosity. Jesus rarely gave a straight answer—He stirred hunger, wonder, and deeper questions. We’re not delivering sermons; we’re dropping glimmers of truth that make people lean in and ask for more. At Burning Man, we lead with sparkly statements.
We’re Not Preaching, We’re Playing
Evangelism in New Age culture isn’t a polished sermon. It’s an invitation into relationship. It looks like laughter over tea, prayer in the dust, or a Spirit-filled moment around a drum circle. It’s not about covering every theological base—it’s about opening hearts, and trusting Jesus in the process.
Jesus Was the Master of Sparkly Statements
Jesus rarely gave straightforward answers. He responded to deep questions with parables with unexpected turns and thought - provoking questions. He invited people into mystery and let them wrestle their way into revelation.
In Luke 10, when a man asks “Who is my neighbor?”, Jesus tells a story of the Good Samaritan.
In John 4, Jesus doesn’t tell the woman at the well He’s the Messiah right away. He says: “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.” (John 4:10) That moment sparked a life-changing revelation—and a village-wide revival.
Sparkly Statements Plant Seeds of Wonder
Sparkly statements aren’t meant to explain everything—but to point toward Jesus in a way that’s beautiful, mysterious, and true.
Some Examples:
“I believe in infinite love.”
“I follow a God whose vibe created all things.
“I follow a God who became human to rescue us from cosmic loneliness”
“I don’t believe in karma. I believe in mercy.”
Tarot? “I don’t need cards to hear from the divine.”
These seeds grow. We’ve seen tears, prayer, and curiosity bloom from a single Spirit-breathed phrase. We see people come back every day for me and we trust Jesus in the process.
Why This Matters
This is what you are sending us to do. You’re sending artists, musicians, pastors, and evangelists into one of the most spiritually open places on earth—not to argue, but to invite. Not to debate, but to delight.
