Instructions from the Word
"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Romans 12:12
I think that verse tells us how to face the circumstances of life. It exhorts us to maintain a positive attitude when facing life's difficulties.
"Rejoice in hope." We can keep hope alive in our hearts even when experiencing hard times. As we walk in the joy God gives us - His joy is our strength - we can make it through anything.
"Be patient in affliction." Or suffering. Or trials. Or the different seasons of life. As we walk through any circumstance we can remain calm, peaceful, and steadfast. God will use each situation to help us grow. He doesn't "waste our sorrows." He uses them for good in our lives.
"Be faithful in prayer." Prayer is our lifeline! Talking to the Lord as we navigate through each situation will allow the Lord to guide and help us. No difficult circumstance we face is too big for God! He's got us! He is continually with us to help us.
I love how whatever we face, God has given us instructions in His word. He is so faithful!
