Our Inheritance is Peace
After Floyd passed away, it took about 2 years to settle everything legally. He didn't have a lot, so it seemed pretty straight forward. But there were a lot of hoops to jump through. The whole process got me thinking a lot about wills - leaving things to people, deciding what to do with things we have, etc.
One day I realized that Jesus left a will for us. He "willed" us His peace. "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you." John 14:27
In a world that seems filled with constant turmoil.....in the problems in our lives.....in the grief of losing loved ones - what a precious treasure it is to have the peace that Jesus left for us. I'm so grateful for His peace.
In the joy of this December when we celebrate His coming - I'm thankful for the peace He brought to us. I pray that each one reading this will receive it afresh in their life too.
