Engaging the Whole Church in Missions

Description:
Join us for this session facilitated by Dr. Mary Ho with All Nations friends Travis Janousek and Jaime Saint.

A few thoughts:

  • “It is the whole business of the whole Church to take the whole Gospel to the whole world.” -Charles Spurgeon

  • COVID had the Western Church become introspective and ask “Do we help or hinder when we go overseas to help on short-term trips?”

    • Our our desire should be to equip the Global Church--to teach, train, and empower indigenous believers. "Jesus sent us on a plan that is multiplication, not addition." [Jamie]

    • We've been "fixed" so many times--we're a mess now!" [from an indigenous leader]

    • Missions is designed to be a relay race, by the time we hand off the baton—the next runner should be ready to receive it.

  • What can people within the Church do? 1. Pray 2. Give 3. Go (or Participate)

  • Acts 21:5-6: Emulate the church of Tyre, where every man, woman, and child was engaged in missions.

  • Self-reflect: Do I have the capacity in time and resources to engage in world missions?
