The Art of Reaching Children

Mission's Edge Roundtable March 2022 Session:

So why is art an effective tool for reaching kids (of all ages)?
We're looking forward to hearing from authors and illustrators Justin and Hella Song and Christina K who create materials specifically for kids. They also have places that are restricted to the Gospel in their sights. We'll discuss some of the challenges and joys of creating kids' materials for a different culture.

This roundtable will also feature Justin and Hella Song's book, Toby and Binky's Food Journey.

Featuring:

Peggy Spiers taught first grade for 30 years. She now serves on the Global Support Team for All Nations International, where she still gets the opportunity to love and serve kids (and their parents!) around the globe.

Justin and Hella Song and their daughter, Chloe, lived in Northeast China for the past decade with Justin working as an English teacher and Hella teaching art classes at international schools. Justin earned a degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri in Kansas City, and Hella studied illustration from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and OCAD University in Toronto.

Christina K. joined All Nations in 2015. She uses her gifts in art and music to create educational and Christian materials for children. Her bookKeys in the Sand: Overlooked Secrets to Hearing from God, will be available for purchase in March 2022.

Justin and Hella Song's book, Toby & Binky's Food Journey, is available in paperback form and as an eBook.
