A Person of Peace

I’ve been going to a new age community event in my neighborhood; building friendships, gently discerning the spiritual atmosphere, and being a person of peace.

“Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house!’” — Luke 10:5

That has been my posture. Not rushing in, not correcting, but bringing peace. Listening. Being present. Letting relationships form naturally. I’ve met incredible people—healers, musicians, creatives. People who are deeply spiritual, deeply searching, and often more open than we might expect.

I’ve also been going with a New Age friend, intentionally building a relationship with her. Sharing meals, conversations, life. No agenda—just love, curiosity, and attentiveness to what God might be doing.

I've been intentionally going with God to this event and intentionally asking ... What is God doing in this space? Where is He already moving?

Because I believe He is.

It reminds me of Paul in Athens—walking through a city full of altars and spiritual hunger, and instead of rejecting it outright, he observed, honored the search, and then revealed the truth:

“I perceive that in every way you are very religious… What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you.” — Acts 17:22–23

What if you too began to enter the spaces already around you—your neighborhood, your gym, your coffee shop, your friend groups—as a person of peace?

What if instead of avoiding people who think differently, you moved toward them with curiosity and love?

Bring peace.
Ask questions.
Listen deeply.

Trust that God is already at work before you arrive.
