28th Anniversary: Kingdom Movements Multiplying on Jesus’ Kingly Path of the Cross
A Message from Mary
This November marks several significant events in our story. This month we celebrate the 28th year since Floyd and Sally founded All Nations to ignite Kingdom movements among neglected peoples. This November also marks exactly three years since our worker and brother John Chau died sharing Jesus. This November also marks us officially launching the new Taiwan hub to mobilize Chinese-speaking workers to the unreached (more news coming!). But even this November, a couple of our workers have been threatened or mobbed, and have lost homes and evacuated for safety—all for sharing Jesus. In the past three years, we have launched three new hubs to mobilize workers from everywhere to everywhere. But in the past three years, the level of threats, danger, and persecution have escalated. This is our future reality: kingdom movements multiplying on Jesus’ Kingly path of the cross.
We, like Peter, sometimes unwittingly complain or brag, “We have left everything to follow you!” Yet Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life” (Mk. 10.28-30). It is both a sobering warning and a soaring promise.
As you read this, I've just ended a two-week quarantine isolation in Taiwan. John and I have been preparing for meetings and a visit with my family. While in quarantine last week, I woke up early one morning with the Jabez prayer for our global team: ‘Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request’ (I Chron. 4.10).
So, today, I also ask that may Jesus bless you to be a blessing to the nations. May you take ground for Him wherever you place your feet. May the Lord’s hand be on you, with you, and hold you. May He keep you from harm, plots, and pain even while you serve in hard places or support through prayer and finances those who do. It is a request that God grants. And for us who serve, we will do our best to guard this sacred trust.
With love and prayers,
Mary
