Jesus is a Person, Not A Concept: Part 2

After reading "Jesus is a Person, Not A Concept", a reader asked, what should we do about it?
Many people in New Age spaces are sincerely seeking healing, peace, and connection—but they’re often being led toward counterfeits of the truth. As followers of Jesus, we’re called to remain anchored in Him, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). We must hold fast to the truth of the Gospel and then step into relationships marked by love, trust, and authenticity.
It’s in those relationships that we earn the right to speak truth—gently revealing Jesus as not just a spiritual idea, but the living God who entered history to save us.
The mission field isn’t always across the ocean—it's around us in our post-Christian culture. A post-Christian culture refers to a society where Christian beliefs, values, and institutions no longer hold a dominant or central place in public life, even if they were once foundational.
Christianity is no longer the default worldview—it may still be present, but it’s not assumed or central.
Biblical morality and truth are often questioned or replaced by secular or pluralistic values.
People may see Christianity as outdated, irrelevant, or even harmful.
The culture may embrace spirituality, but reject institutional religion or traditional Christian teachings.
Post-Christian doesn't mean there are no Christians—it means the culture as a whole has moved beyond Christianity in influence, often toward individualism, relativism, or new spiritualities. It's in this context that missionaries and believers are called to reintroduce Jesus not just as a religious figure, but as the living Lord who meets the deepest longings of the human heart.
We must also pray with authority against negative spiritual influences and the rise of counterfeits that lead people away from truth. Scripture reminds us that “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil” (Ephesians 6:12). In a world where many are drawn to deceptive spiritual practices, we stand in intercession—asking the Holy Spirit to reveal truth, break strongholds, and guard hearts from deception.
