Remember Who You Are

A Redemptive Analogy

"Remember why you came here. Remember your life is sacred."

I was at an event, this New Age song was sung, and it reminded me of a youth ministry session I hosted years ago. The climax of the talk was a clip from the Lion King. After running away from pain and responsibility, Simba encounters his deceased father who says, "Remember who you are."

Relationship with Our Father transforms us from prodigal to beloved, orphan to son and daughter. Divine life lives within us, always, whether we recognize it or not, and empowers us to step into our identity and bring about the Kingdom of God.

A New Age belief is that we are divine souls who choose to come to Earth and accept a mission to elevate the consciousness of humanity. They too are drawn to the truth that we are divine and integral to the divine plan.

The message that we are sacred is important in both communities. However, the New Age community is missing Who makes us holy. Jesus, who loves us, dies for us, and transforms us.

Our New Age brothers and sisters are seeking Him and His truth. Please join me in prayer using these Scriptures that they may remember who they are.

“God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” (Genesis 1:27)

“But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12)

“See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are!” (1 John 3:1a)

“And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons and daughters to Me,” Says the Lord Almighty. (2 Corinthians 6:8)
