Finding Strength in the Lord

Launching a new hub during a global pandemic in a country on high alert is not easy and even risky. Even more, is being the leader of it! Recently, we had the opportunity to catch up with Tracey Chen, our newly commissioned Hub leader in Taiwan, and here were some of our takeaways ...

Yes, the task at hand for Tracey is daunting, but she is familiar with daunting and has proven her God-given ability to rise to the occasion.

An avid basketball player, Tracey recalled a time when she dislocated a finger during a game and continued playing anyway. Another time she twisted her ankle during a game, and the doctor told her she couldn't play basketball again. But after two years of physical therapy, she was back on the court. Her experiences as a basketball player have helped her develop a skill of persistence and not giving up easily.

Tracey is also in good hands, being mentored by All Nations International Leadership Team Member and Living Water Co-Pastor Elizabeth Chen, who has described Tracey as “a faithful, loyal risk-taker.”

Faithful, she is.

Both on and off the court, Tracey stewards well all that God has given her. Whether teamwork, coaching or educating, Tracey seeks to continually improve her skills for the betterment of those around her. Many, like Elizabeth, can attest to seeing her use her multiple gifts to expand the Kingdom.

Loyal, indeed.

Tracey has a great love for the next generation. She considers it a great honor to partake in God’s end-time plan.

Whether as a basketball coach or discipleship coach, her heart is committed to those God has given her. She loves being on a team, as both a player and mentor. She received her basketball coaching license last year. She wants to join a sports association in Taiwan that is starting a basketball league for youth. The league is hoping to invite non-believing students to have a team. They will plan to offer Bible materials to players.

Tracey’s key passion is to disciple, mobilize, and release the next generation of young people to be workers in the end-time harvest. She is using the gifts and talents that the Lord has given her and stewarding this in His purposes!

A good steward AND a risk-taker, no doubt.

The hour is urgent for Chinese-speakers to finish the race of the Great Commission. Tracey is helping Jesus take center court as she builds a team who will steward the assignment to see Jesus worshiped throughout Asia and through Taiwan to the ends of the earth. Reaching high keeps this player on her toes.

Just as basketball makes her feel alive, so is feeling God’s love for the lost, and His passion to see every people group around His throne. She has responded to His call and stepped into a new season.

"Every time I move, I feel like the Lord is charging my battery," All Nations Taiwan Hub Executive Director Tracey Chen said. "Every time I move, I feel stronger and stronger. I just feel strength."

Please reach out and encourage Tracey with prayer and emails that help her know we are all behind her! You can reach her via email at: TraceyChen@allnations.tw
