A Persian Immigrant

I want to introduce you to Reza. This young man has an amazing story of challenge, adventure and success. He is a Persian man from Iran. When he left he was 17, he is now 20. He left because he said so many young people were being killed by the government. He traveled to Turkey where his father paid for a smuggler to get him to Europe. From the coast of Turkey he boarded a boat with 90 other refugees and they sailed through the Mediterranean Sea to Italy. He said there were times they all believed they were going to die on the sea because it was so rough. He made it to Italy and from there he went to Switzerland and then to Hamburg, Germany. Were he asked for asylum. Since coming to Germany he has become a follower of Jesus.

We hope to share more of his story in a video soon.

While this is Reza’s story, it is very similar to stories of the people we work with.

About the author, Tami Martin: In January 2014 we started ministry in Germany and lived there through 2016. From 2016 through 2019 we made multiple trips back to Germany. In 2019 Tami took on other work and in 2020 Trent took on other work. We recently have heard God call us back. We see ourselves as mobile domestic missionaries, but God still has Germany on our heart and will continue to go for short term trips as He leads.
