Becoming the Spiritual People in Our Gym Community

Our gym is a gathering place for a unique blend of people—climbers pushing their limits, yogis seeking balance, and New Age seekers exploring mind, body, and spirit connections. These are people on a journey, searching for something deeper through movement, breath, and community. And we are right there with them—not as outsiders, but as fellow climbers, participants in a yoga class, and seekers. But as we move, stretch, and breathe alongside them, we carry the presence of the Living God, ready to share His love authentically.
We’ve been given the opportunity to participate in a monthly market at our gym, where we’re selling chai and hosting a lounge space. But this isn’t just a cozy corner for tea and rest—it’s a place where heaven meets earth, where curiosity is sparked, and where the Holy Spirit moves.
We’re using sparkly statements—words that shine with truth and mystery, inviting people to lean in and ask, “What do you mean by that?” Sparkly statments stir hearts, opening doors for deeper spiritual conversations.
Our tea ceremonies have become sacred moments of stillness, guiding people to listen to the voice of God who is always speaking.
Our goal? To become known as the spiritual people in this community—approachable, present, and ready for the moments when hearts are seeking something more. And the truth is, this doesn’t just happen at a market or a gym. It happens anywhere people gather—at your coffee shop, in your workplace, in your friend group.
So here’s the challenge: Be available. Be present. Be the person people know they can turn to for spiritual conversations. Use sparkly statements that make people wonder. Create spaces where people can encounter God, even in the most unexpected places. Because the world is seeking—and we carry the answer.
About the Author: Nova worked inside church walls, evangelizing and building programs for those in the pews, for 12 years. In 2022, she followed Jesus into the nucleus of the New Age people group. She realized they are seeking Jesus and understood His great love for them. She is now developing a ministry to the New Age.
