Gratitude

I ponder my thoughts a lot around gratitude lately. Is it a feeling or a choice? Is the real deal to feel grateful or to be grateful? I think I ended in “being” grateful as a solution. I think a grateful attitude not only helps to go through difficult seasons in my life but it also energizes me with strength and perspective to tackle my challenges. In the face of brokenness, gratitude has the power to heal. In the face of despair, gratitude has the power to bring hope. In other words, gratitude can help us cope with hard times. It actually builds resilience in us.

Yes, I want to be a grateful woman. A grateful leader and a grateful mother. I make a choice towards my attitude and my inner choices.

Standing outside, breathing in fresh air and hearing the waves and the birds chirping around you… feeling my heart beat. Yes. I am grateful today.
