Thoughts on loss

Recently I have some dear friends who are walking through some of the most difficult times of their lives. I have been honored to walk alongside of them and share in their pain in whatever small ways I have been able to. Sometimes, just simply doing as the Bible describes, "mourning with those who mourn".
One of the lies that comes to us in our darkest moments is, "it's always going to feel like this" or "I will never feel happy/good again". But it is just that, A LIE!
In our times of grieving and sorrow, we must cry our tears, we must feel the feels, but we must not fall for the lie that it will always feel like this.
Remember, His mercies are new every morning!
If you are struggling with deep sorrow or grief, please do not struggle alone. Find someone to talk to. And please remember, every morning is a new day with new hope and new mercies from our Lord Jesus!
May you experience the Hope of New Life that comes from our Lord Jesus Christ and the peace that passes all understanding!
