The Catalytic Qualities of a Movement Leader
God is increasing the pace with which movements are starting and multiplying globally. Methods and principles do not catalyze movements, people empowered by His presence do! It is difficult to predict who will be used by God to launch a movement and God often surprises us by using someone whom we least expect. Personalities, spiritual gifts and temperaments of these movements catalysts cover a wide spectrum, yet case studies consistently show that all effective movement leaders possess a healthy combination of a common set of traits and characteristics.
Examining the lives of movement catalysts leads each of us to evaluate our own lives and ask the question: Am I the type of person through whom God would launch a movement? What characteristics am I lacking? What traits are present in my life? How can I grow, change and 'train for godliness'? (1 Tim 4:7)
