The Tent at Burning Man

The vision for the tent is to invite New Agers into creative worship of YHWH. Our God is the Creator. When we create, we model Him. Creative worship can be singing, dancing, painting, and writing with the intention of intimacy with the life and love of the triune God. Because of New Age culture, creative worship at Burning Man looks like drum circles, dancing, scriptural chant, painting and poetry.

We have three main ways people enter our tent.  The first, an invitation to drink tea. The second, a team member welcomes a guest and hands them an instrument. Third, people ask for spiritual readings from the menu board. People say “yes” to what they are comfortable with. They often stay for hours flowing between our offerings.

Tea

We invite people in for tea, welcome them into a peaceful and joyful space, and connect.  Maybe we share a sparkly statement? One of mine this year was…

Man: What’s your secret?

Nova: What do you mean?

Man: Your energy, what’s your secret, how do you have such joyful energy? Are you a guru? Do you meditate for hours like the gurus? Do you not drink alcohol?

Nova: Oh, I drank a beer by the fire last night…But I know what you're talking about, you're seeing the divine life I have within me!

Man: What am I seeing? How do you have divine life within you?

Nova: I connect to infinite love and life every morning. The divine energizes me. We are connecting to the divine in the drum circle now. Join!

Drum Circle

Many people come in because they hear drumming and want to be part of it. We have a worship leader and several team members worshiping the Creator and inviting in the Spirit of Truth. We share instruments and invite our guests to play with us. I often dance and this gives permission or freedom for others to dance too.

When we worship, the anointing, the cloud, the atmosphere glorifies God. In this sacred space, YHWH reveals Himself to His children, people walk in and are instantly set free from oppression, the Divine Physician heals.

Words are not enough to describe this sacred, playful, and creative space. I invite you to look at the videos and photos in the blog and really take it in. You can do so by filling out this short form.

Spiritual Reading Menu

We have a Spiritual Reading Menu. People can look at it and identify what they would like to receive. It serves as a conversation starter between our guests and the prayer ministers.

Ultimately, together with our guest, we invite in the Spirit of Truth, renounce lies, heal wounds, and lead people to an encounter with a person of the Trinity. The next few posts will share testimonies from this time.
